André has been running with the Ottawa Frontrunners since 2008 and is currently Social Coordinator for the club.

My start in running: After many years in cycling, after the horrible summer weather of 2008 (no shortage of thunderstorms, strong winds and rain), I needed to weather-proof my workouts. Running seemed like an all-weather sport, so I tried cross-training. Since that time, running has pretty much taken over!

My favourite running conditions: cool, crisp fall days, when the leaves are at their peak.  

Favourite race so far: the 2011 9-Run-Run. It was my first 10 km race, and I completed it well under the one hour goal I set for myself. Next goal: a half marathon toward the end of 2012!
