Michael Cooper
Michael is co-chair of the executive committee and Web master of Ottawa Frontrunners. He has been running for 5 years and prefers mid distance (10 km to half marathon), though he completed the National Capital Marathon in 2004—and now takes all those injury prevention warnings more seriously! Spring and fall are his favourite times to run, but he finds Ottawa winters invigourating. He runs at medium speed, though often the competitive spirit gets the better of him in group runs.
Michael works at the World Wide Web Consortium, developing standards to make Web pages accessible to people with disabilities. In addition to running, he swims with the Ottawa Rideau Speedeaus and is on the organizing committee for Team Ottawa. He maintains a Web site at aihal.net.
