Shawn Murphy
Shawn is a founding member of Ottawa Frontrunners. He has been running for 20 years. Running began as a way to balance the stresses of work, and has become its own vocation. Shawn is a fast distance runner and has run 16 marathons to date. As he continues to develop his running, the goal of racing is to meet new time goals.
Besides Ottawa Frontrunners, Shawn runs with the Bushtukah run club. In the winter, he likes to cross country ski. He also spends a lot of time in his cottage near where he grew up in Buckingham, QC. Shawn manages FuseCommunications, a communications company with many major clients in the Ottawa area. Together with fellow Frontrunner Stephen DeBoer, he has formed a book club that focuses largely on GLBTQ-themed fiction.
