Long runs
Are you planning on running the marathon or half at the National Capital Race weekend? The Frontrunners would like to invite you to share your long runs with us. Beginning 6 March, a group of us will meet an hour earlier to add some time and distance to our runs. We will head out at 8:00am from the Lisgar Street entrance to City Hall, 111 Lisgar at the intersection of Cartier, and circle back for 9:00am to run the rest with everyone else.
Women's runs
Ottawa Frontrunners invites women of all abilities to join us for a run or walk each first Saturday of the month, at 9am at the Lisgar Street entrance to City Hall, 111 Lisgar at the intersection of Cartier.
Speed work (only spring – summer for speed work)
Thursday evenings are focused on speed training. We will meet at the regular spot (City Hall entrance) and we will warm up by running to Parliament Hill or the track at Immaculata High School (depending on weather and conditions). There, we will practice some speed drills and then cool down by running back to City Hall. All levels of runners are welcome! Bring a stopwatch or a watch with a second hand if you have one.
Gatineau – Hull runs
Second Saturday of the month runs on 14 May, 11 June, 9 July, 13 August, 10 September, and 8 October will start on the Gatineau side at 9:30 am.
